The CEO of Costa Cruises has said human error is to blame for the ship to hitting rocks and causing loss of life and injuries to crew and passengers. The Captain of the ship is alleged to have taken an "unapproved and unauthorized deviation" in the ship's course.
The Captain has been charged with manslaughter. Injured crew and passengers and the families of thsoe who have died will be able to bring claims against Costa Cruises for thier injuires and losses.
